My wife Midge and I want to compliment you on the outstanding construction you and Big Red Contractors performed on the large carport just completed on our Lake Arrowhead home. The design and materials used make the finished product look like it was constructed as part of the house when the house was built 10 years ago.
Midge and I were impressed with the Big Red Contractor’s crew showing up early and on time each morning, the construction knowledge and experience displayed and the pride taken in your workmanship. From obtaining permits and inspections, to cutting concrete, to nailing and painting of materials, to the finishing touches of brick, Big Red Contractors excelled at every step of the job.
Your construction-cost estimate was below the others we received, while your quality was definitely well above average. It’s refreshing to find a construction company that does not cut corners on quality, treats its customers fairly and courteously, and gets the job done on time!

I write in recommendation of Mr. Bobby Orr, of " Big Red" Contractors Inc. (Ca. license 842716). I have known Mr. Orr since March of this year when my wife and I contracted with him to carry out a substantial addition to the bedroom and bathroom areas of our home, together with the construction of major exterior walls on our property.
Having worked through him for all aspects of this project, we have found Mr. Orr to be an excellent head contractor. He is very professional in all his dealings, efficient and knowledgeable about the many technicalities of his job, and respected in his interactions with municipal offices and inspectors. We particularly appreciated the following:
Mr.Orr keeps the project moving. In both the remodeling and exterior landscaping aspects, he did not lose time. He kept a clean and orderly work enviroment, minimized inconveniences to us and neighbors, and was ready for inspection appointments as scheduled.
Mr. Orr has competency in "high-end" construction. In the projects he has done for others ( which we inspected) and the one he did for us, it was clear that Mr.Orr works to a high standard. From the basic construction to the final " fit and finish" he was attentive to detail and craftsmanship. In each aspect of the work, Mr.Orr consistently obtained highly skilled sub-contractors.
Mr.Orr is highly consultative. At each step of the way, he stayed close to us as clients, conferring with us on details large and small, and respecting our wishes. We appreciated this very much.
Mr.Orr is transparent about finances. He was careful to keep us abreast of the overall financial picture throughout the process, making sure we understood expenditures and where we were in the funding. We particularly appreciated his good help negotiating favorable rates with sub-contractors for the inevitable little extra jobs we wanted along the way.
Mr.Orr is affable. We found him friendly, understanding and easy to work with.
